Societe Generale is hiring interns for its Market Analysis and Certification group in New York. Interns will support trading and risk teams in valuation, modeling, and reporting across asset classes.

Job description

Interns support Societe Generale’s trading and risk teams through financial modeling, certification of metrics like Value-at-Risk, and daily P&L analysis. This role blends market analytics, regulatory reporting, and risk tracking.

Responsibilities

Produce and certify Greeks, sensitivities, and P&L metrics
Monitor and explain Value-at-Risk, stress tests, and limit breaches
Reconcile economic P&L and support income attribution
Create dashboards and automation tools using VBA/Python
Work cross-functionally with Risk, Front Office, and Compliance

Job requirements

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Familiarity with financial instruments: bonds, ETFs, swaps, options

Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and preferably Python

Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management

Motivated, team-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting
