Investment Banking Analyst Intern – Private Capital Markets
Baird is hiring Summer 2026 interns in its Private Capital Markets group in Chicago. Interns support investment banking deals in structured debt and private equity capital raising.
Job description
Interns will be embedded in the Private Capital Markets group, supporting active deal execution, research, and advisory work for private equity and institutional clients in the U.S. and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Assist with M&A and capital raising pitch materials
- Build company profiles, debt capacity models, and comps
- Research debt and equity investors and transaction precedents
- Participate in meetings and internal strategy sessions
- Prepare client-ready presentations with senior bankers
Job requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Class of 2027 preferred)
- Strong interest in investment banking or private capital markets
- Excel, financial modeling, and valuation knowledge preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be available full-time in summer 2026
- U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available)
